San Diego-based Suja produces juices and smoothies under cold pressure to destroy harmful bacteria and preserve ingredients and flavor. The company markets its drinks through its website, Amazon, health food stores, and national vegetable and fruit chains.
Cold-pressed juices are one of the healthy eating trends because they contain vitamins, soluble fiber, pectin, organic acids, and other beneficial ingredients. Cold pressing of any juices has nothing to do with heating, that is, with the increase in temperature – which means that absolutely all the usefulness created by nature itself will remain in your glass and bring incredible benefits to your body.
However, not everyone has the opportunity to purchase juicers for such juices. Or just don’t have the time to make your juices on a daily basis. It is for such people that the Suja range of organic drinks was created.
Suja was founded in 2012 and investors include Alliance Consumer Growth Partners, Evolution Media Partners, and actors Leonardo DiCaprio, Jared Leto, and Sofia Vergara. Today, Suja Juice beverages are sold in more than 10,000 retail outlets.
Suja Organic juice lines are constantly expanding. For example, in 2020, the company introduced mushroom-based drinks, the benefits of which have been proven by numerous studies. The organic juice line consists of 7 flavors and was created in cooperation with Whole Foods Market, an American chain of organic supermarkets specializing in the sale of food products without artificial colors, flavor enhancers and preservatives, sweeteners, and trans fats.
What is Suja?
Suja Organic is the name of a Coca-Cola subbrand, specializing in the production of organic juice drinks. The company was established in California in 2012, and already three years later it was acquired by the global monster, Coca-Cola. Today Suja is the largest American brand in its segment.
In terms of visual identity, Suja is very light and minimalistic. Its logo is based on the principles of simplicity and cleanliness, which perfectly represent the organic and health-beneficial products inside the Suja bottles.
The Suja Organic logo features a combination of lowercase lettering in a laconic modern typeface and a delicate emblem, which depicts a stylized leaf with two elegant sharpened strokes on it. The inscription has clean lines and a lot of space between the bars and characters. Another peculiarity of the lettering is the absence of the dot above the “J”.
The medium-weight lowercase lettering from the Suja Organic primary logo is set in a distinctive sans-serif typeface, which looks pretty close to such commercial fonts as Jindo, Dexa Pro, or Rozanova, with minor modifications and the dot above the “J” removed.
As for the color palette of the Suja visual identity, its primary shade is light purple, the color of creativity and wisdom, the color of intuition and self-care. However, the badge can also be seen in green, which stands for life and growth; and in black or white, depending on the marketing needs.
