The baseball franchise Delmarva Shorebirds was established in 1996 in Salisbury, Maryland, where it’s located now. The Class-A South affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles, they are part of the Atlantic League.
While the colors of the Delmarva Shorebirds logo were inspired by those of their parent team, the emblem itself is different.
The official palette including black, silver, and orange was borrowed from the logo of the Baltimore Orioles, Delmarva’s parent franchise since 1997.
