Meaning and history

Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Logo history

The earliest Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference logo was adopted in 1997 when the conference was founded. It was dominated by the depiction of the mountains. They were white with blue trim and shades. The name of the conference (both abbreviated and full) was placed over the body of the mountains.
On the 2016 emblem, the mountains grew smaller and were redrawn. The designer has placed them inside a blue circle. The most prominent part of the emblem is now the abbreviation “AMCC.”
