The Staten Island Yankees logo delves upon the symbolism of the American flag both in terms of the shapes and the palette. The same approach has been used for the logo of the parent team, the New York Yankees.
The franchise was formed out of the Watertown Indians and the Oneonta Yankees. It started playing in Staten Island in 1999. Today, it’s the Short-Season A classification affiliate of the New York Yankees.
The primary logo sports the word “Yankees” in a blue script imitating handwriting. There’re three red five-pointed stars above.
On a larger logo, you can see a hat on a baseball bat behind the wordmark. Also, the text “Staten Island” can be seen inside the extended end of the “s.”
As for the cap insignia, it features the white “y” on the dark blue background.
The colors featured on the Staten Island Yankees logo are the colors of the United States flag – red, blue, and white.
