UEFA Euro 2024 logo launched

Three years ago, Germany was announced to host the 2024 UEFA European Football Championship. At a special presentation ceremony that took place at the Olympiastadion Berlin a few days ago, the Euro 2024 organizing committee introduced a logo and a slogan for the event as well as emblems for ten venues to host the matches.

“United by football. Vereint im Herz Europas (United in the heart of Europe)” is the slogan to promote Euro 2024 that will be held in Germany in three years. According to a statement of the German Football Union, the Euro 2024 brand reflects the diverse final round that welcomes everyone, creating a feeling of home. Its assets – from the logo to the visuals – emphasize the diversity of football and fans in Europe.

Like the emblems of the previous championships in 2016 and 2020, the Euro 2024 logo focuses on the event’s trophy – the Henry Delaunay Cup. It is officially claimed that its colors were taken from the flags of 55 member associations of UEFA, and the 24 sectors stand for the participating national teams in the final stage. With this, the emblem’s oval form embracing the trophy was purposely designed to refer to the roof of the Olympiastadion.

Along with the championship’s logo and slogan, the so-called “logos of the host cities” depicting their most famous sites were also presented. The cities for Euro 2024 are Berlin, Dortmund, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Gelsenkirchen, Hamburg, Cologne, Leipzig, Munich and Stuttgart.

51 matches of the next football championship will take place in June-July 2024. The complete table will be released in early 2022.
