The National Collegiate Hockey Conference, or NCHC, was established in 2011 as a part of the first division of the National Collegiate Athletic Association. The first game of the league was held only two years later, in 2013.

NCHC headquarters is in Colorado consists of eight men hockey teams from Western and Midwestern United States. There are two teams from Colorado, two from Minnesota, and one from each Ohio, Nebraska, Michigan, and North Dakota.

Font and color

The bold geometric abbreviation from the primary logo of the National Collegiate Hockey Conference is set in the uppercase of a heavy serif font with square contours and thick lines. The type, used here is pretty close to such fonts as Aachen Pro Medium and Hapna Slab Serif ExtraBold.

As for the color palette of the NCHC visual identity, it is based on the shades of the National American flag, with the addition of thin gray lines, accenting the outline of the triangular crest.
