The new concept includes a light-gold emblem, followed by a two-leveled inscription with both parts of the lettering set in one style. The new emblem of the university boasts a voluminous capital “V” in an elegant serif font, which repeats the shape of the letters from the logotype. The inscription part is set in bold black capitals, which look stable and confident.
The bold uppercase lettering from the Vanderbilt University visual identity is set in a classy and heavy serif font with slightly extended contours of the characters. The closest fonts to the one, used in this insignia, are, probably, Adorn Smooth Serif, Matrix II Semi Wide, or Grand Cru Medium S, with some minor modifications.
