Star Alliance Logo PNG
Star Alliance is a global airline alliance with over 25 member airlines and a fleet of over 5,000 aircraft. The alliance was established in the spring of 1997. It is headquartered in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.
The Star Alliance logo was created by the Pentagram design studio. The emblem consists of the wordmark and a star made up of five pyramids. The pyramids are depicted as seen from the top. The grey gradient helps to reproduce the shades and create the 3D effect. Each of the pyramids represents one of the five founding airlines.
The name of the alliance can be seen to the left. It features a pretty generic sans serif typeface. The glyphs have classic proportions and structure.
You can also come across a version of the Star Alliance logo comprising the tagline “The way the Earth connects.” It is positioned below the words “Star Alliance” and features the same type. The size of the letters is much smaller, though, due to which they are less legible.
Pentagram is owned and run by 24 partners. It has offices in London, New York City, San Francisco, Berlin and Austin, Texas. It was founded in 1972 at Needham Road, Notting Hill, London. The list of works includes the logo for the Big Ten Conference, Sam Labs, Citibank, and United Airlines.
