In terms of visual identity, ShopGoodwill is quite a modest and simple platform, which doesn’t emphasize the image, but the content. Throughout its quite a long history, the auction platform has only changed its logo once.

Old

The original ShopGoodwill logo was executed in a colorful palette, with the “Shop” part, written in cursive, emboldened, and having each character in its own shade — blue, green, yellow, and red. And for the “Goodwill”, it was written in lighter lines, in a modern sans-serif font, in green. The inscription was accompanied by a small icon with a shopping bag drawn on it.

New

The new ShopGoodwill logo is set in a strict and professional color palette, which consists of two shades of blue. The darker one is used for the uppercase bold lettering in a geometric sans-serif typeface and for a contoured shopping bag, which is a part of the emblem, drawn on a background with a larger bag in a lighter shade of blue. The whole composition is accompanied by a cursive lightweight “com” in light blue.

Font and color

The bold and stable lettering from the primary ShopGoodwill logo is set in a distinctive geometric sans-serif typeface which looks pretty close to such commercial fonts as EF Franklin Gothictrade and News Gothic No. 2trade, but with a small modification of the “G” tail.

As for the color palette of the ShopGoodwill visual identity, it is based on blue, a shade, which is associated with a fundamental approach, confidence, professionalism, and a high level of goods and services.
