The Jacksonville Dolphins is an athletic program from Jacksonville University, a small private institution of higher education in the town of Jacksonville, Florida. This high school was opened in 1934 as a 2-year college, but in 1956 it began offering full-fledged 4-year bachelor’s and then master’s degree programs. The university offers more than a hundred undergraduate programs and is also known for its strong sports teams in various sports.
Jacksonville Dolphins is a common name for twenty men’s and women’s sport clubs from the Jacksonville University in Florida, the United States. The program has its clubs compete in the Division I of the NCAA, in such sports disciplines as Basketball, Baseball, Rowing, Soccer, Lacrosse, and several others.
Jacksonville Dolphins are members of the ASUN Conference, with only the rowing team attending to the MAAC, The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference.

Jacksonville Dolphins is the name of an American Collegiate athletic program from the Jacksonville University in Florida. The program competes in the first division of the National Collegiate Athletic Association, and consists of 20 men’s and women’s clubs in different sports disciplines.
A large yellow dolphin was the central character of the old logo introduced in 1995. It was jumping between the large letters “J” and “U.” The way the animal was moving through the glyphs was somewhat unnatural.
The the Jacksonville Dolphins badge, used by the clubs of the program for two years in the end of the 1990s, was based on the previous logo version, but featured a heavier and more modern lettering, which also got slanted to the right, and a more realistic dolphin, drawn in a gray color palette, and fully repeating the contours of the golden dolphin from the 1995 badge.
In 2018, the Jacksonville Dolphins logo was redrawn. Under the letters “J” and “U,” there was the arched word “Jacksonville” in green. Instead of the dolphin, a white shape looking like its fin could be seen.
The men’s team of Jackson State University has competed in the NCAA Division II Tournament five times. Also, they have appeared in three NCAA Division I Tournaments and five NCAA Division II Tournaments.
The football team has been known for earning the title of the Black College National Champions three times. In addition to this, they have earned 18 conference championships and have won the SWAC title 16 times.
