The essence of all the movies is simple: the brave hero defeats the terrible forces of history. Indiana’s main enemy is always the Nazis. They, like Jones, are hunting for ancient MacGuffins. Such an enemy is not chosen by chance. The image of Nazis in the movie is a symbol of obvious evil.
