The iCade logo was developed relatively recently, and was very successful. Internal harmony and openness to innovation are combined in a very complex graphic solution.

Meaning and history

Icade is a French real estate investment company, which was founded in the middle of the 19th century, and its long history has earned a strong reputation as a professional and reliable player in the international investment market.

The name of the company, ICADE, is a derivative from Immobiliere Caisse Ses Depots, with Immobilliere translated from French as “Real Estate”. It happened so, as the company was established as a subsidiary of Caisse des Depots et Consignacions, the Deposits and Consignments Fund, a French governmental financial institution, created in 1816.

What is Icade?
Icade is the name of a European investment company, which was established in France in 1860, and today is headquartered in Paris, operating worldwide. The company is focused on real estate investments and is considered one of the most reliable international names in this field.

Symbol

The iCade symbol, embodied in the logo, can be formulated as “combination”, “harmony”. In a complex design, there are no clear, mirror and symmetrical shapes. And it is this “irregularity” that is the key to understanding the symbolism of the logo.

Emblem

Unlike most modern graphic designs, the iCade logo is a combination of four elements, each of which is a closed curve of an irregular shape.

This solution allows you to create the impression that the logo is a complex virtual world map, existing not in three, but at least in 4-5 dimensions.

Font

The modern custom lettering from the primary iCade logo is set in a heavy and stable geometric sans-serif typeface with the stylized contours of the letter “A”, which makes the whole lettering unique and memorable. The closest fonts to the one, used in this insignia, are, probably, Geometos Neue Extra Bold, or Biotic ExtraBold, but with the letter “A” completely redrawn.

Color/Background

One of the background elements of the logo – blue, the second – cyan, the third – marsh green, the fourth – translucent, with dots. Against the backdrop of their bizarre combination and even partly mixing – a discreet text element (brand name), made in white. Such a complex color combination, on the one hand, creates a sense of integrity, on the other – incompleteness.
