When a university decides to choose a logo consisting of a single letter, there is every possibility it will look totally generic and will be easily mistaken for the emblem of other schools with the same letter. This is not the case with the Xavier University, though. There are not enough schools with names starting with the letter “X” to make a decent competition.
Taking all this into consideration, it is hardly a surprise that the Xavier Musketeers logo has not changed that much since at least 1995. The emblem has always featured a large “X” with delicate and elegant serifs, only the shade of blue has grown darker.
The Xavier University, which is based in Evanston, Cincinnati, Ohio, sponsors over 15 athletic teams, both men’s and women’s.
