The brand has its retail store all over the globe and is considered to be one of the most famous high-end luggage manufacturers.

Meaning and history

The brand Tumi was called after the Peruvian knife, used in sacrifice ceremonies. The founder of the company, Charlie Clifford, was very inspired by what he saw during traveling to Peru.

Being a luxury brand, Tumi features minimalist yet very modern and recognizable visual identity, which is composed of a single wordmark.

The white Tumi nameplate is placed in a red rectangle and executed in a custom geometric font, consisting of straight distinct lines. The letter “T” is executed in two parallels that go up and diverge in two different directions. Forming 90-degree angles.

The right bar of “T” is connected to the “U”, which is the only letter in the wordmark that has its angles rounded. The left bar of the “T” breaks twice and goes right covering all the inscriptions.

The red and white color combination and the unique logotype of the brand show it as passionate and creative, with values of style and design, as well as high-quality of its products.
