Club crests

Being a very old and experienced club, Rangers have had many logo redesigns throughout their history. But all the last changes were minor, as the emblem, created in 1968, became a great reflection of the team’s character and style, so there was no need to design something new.

1968 — 1990

The Rangers logo from the 1960s was composed of a white wishbone-style monogram placed on a royal blue background. Three intertwined letters “RFC” had their lines elegant and slim, while the tails were beautifully curved.

1990 — 1994

In 1990 the monogram got blue color and was placed on a white background under a massive arched ribbon in blue, with a white “Rangers Football Club” inscription in a simple and clean sans-serif typeface. The “Ready” lettering was placed under the badge, arched from the center.

1994 — 2003

The wishbone logo from 1968 comes back to the club in 1994 and stays untouched for almost ten years. The blue and white color palette perfectly shows the club’s strongest points — professionalism, responsibility, and confidence.

2003 — 2005

Five white five-pointed stars are being added to the club’s emblem in 2003. The stars, arched above the monogram, feature different sizes, with the biggest one on top. Each star was put on the logo to celebrate 10 titles the club won, so the whole composition now was a tribute to 50 Rangers’ winnings.

2005 — 2010

The logo from 2003 changed its colors in 2005. The monogram became blue, while the stars gained red color. The whole badge was placed on a white background, looking strong and bright.

2010 — 2012

However, in 2010 the club decides to come back to its original color palette, which already became synonymous to Rangers FC.

2012 — Today

And in 2012 the stars are being removed from the official logo, so today we can see the badge, which was originally created in 1968.
