The Pioneer Football League (PFL) is a football-only collegiate athletic conference participating in the NCAA’s Division I Football Championship Subdivision. The PFL has been rather consistent in its brand identity. It has preserved the same logo since 1991 when the conference was founded.
The noble gold shade is the only color used in the Pioneer Football League logo. Another distinctive feature is that all the letters are small. This approach makes the wordmark look modern. The dot above the “i” in the word “pioneer” is formed by a stylized football.
While we cannot say the emblem looks very “sporty,” it is unusual and memorable.
