Paradox initially started as a small operation focused on brewing unique styles, particularly barrel-aged and mixed-fermentation beers. Over the years, Paradox Brewery has expanded its reach, gaining a loyal following both locally and beyond. The brewery’s name, “Paradox,” signifies the complexity and duality often found in their beers, reflecting a commitment to both tradition and experimentation.
What is Paradox Brewery?
Paradox Brewery is a craft brewery located in the picturesque Adirondack mountains of New York. The brewery became well-known for its unique brewing style, which incorporates the use of regional ingredients and age-old techniques.
Paradox Brewery’s logo features a distinctive design that reflects its unique identity. The logo is created as a round emblem. The name is printed using a simple, sans-serif font and all caps in the center. A key aspect of the logo is the mountain range at the bottom of the white center circle. This nature-inspired logo element as well as the “Pure Adirondack” inscription placed across the top portion of the border emphasizes the origins of this beer. The phrase “Craft Beer” is printed at the bottom of the logo using the same sans-serif font.
Created for the 10-year anniversary, the logo includes the name “Paradox” prominently displayed in the center featuring a bold, sans-serif font and all caps. The word “Brewery” is centered right underneath and uses smaller characters. Another striking element in this logo designed by Trampoline is the geometric depiction of a mountain range. It is formed from a continuous, three-dimensional line that twists in an interesting way, highlighting the brewery’s innovative approach to brewing. The designer also added the establishment date.
The use of black for the logo with a white background creates a rich and timeless brand image. The color perfectly fits a sophisticated and polished aesthetic. In addition, it is a color that is often used by strong and confident brands, so it is not surprising to see black in the Paradox Breweries logo.
Originally, the company turned to a rather simple, sans-serif font. Its uneven edges hinted at the rough, yet beautiful nature surrounding the beer manufacturers. The font closely resembles Phatty McFatterson Bold font. The updated font looks bolder and more contemporary thanks to clean, straight strokes. It looks similar to Korolev Condensed Bold font or Gotcha Gothic font.
