Meaning and history

The design team that worked on the New Jersey Athletic Conference logo chose a distinctive shade that is somewhere in between gold and dark khaki. The letters colored in this memorable color are placed over the map of the area where the conference operates. The dark, muted shade of blue chosen for the map makes the color of the letters even more beautiful and refined.

Instead of positioning the letters in a single line, the designer decided to drop the “J” down creating an unusual visual effect.
