Merrimack Warriors are the athletic teams competing for Merrimack College located in North Andover, Massachusetts. There are over 20 teams, most of which compete at the Division II level.
If we compare the primary Merrimack Warriors logo with the alternate typographic emblem, we will see that the latter is by far more cluttered. At the same time, it is also less ambiguous.
The primary Merrimack Warriors logo sports the letters “M” and “C” in dark blue with yellow, white, and dark blue outline. The white and pale blue highlights as well as the trim help to add some depth to the otherwise flat design.
While most of the athletic teams representing Merrimack College play at the Division II level, the men’s and women’s ice hockey teams compete at the Division I level. They have had several very successful years, including 1978, when they won the National championship. They have had four Division II appearances and two Division I appearances.
The men’s basketball team have appeared in the NCAA Tournament on eight occasions. The women’s team has won regional NCAA championships twice and has made the NCAA Tournament appearances on three occasions.
