MassDrop is an American online retailing company, which was established in 2012 in California. The e-commerce platform offers a wide selection of gadgets, fashion items, and home appliances, following the latest world trends.
The visual identity of the e-commerce platform is minimalist yet instantly recognizable. The logotype of the retailer, before I was renamed to Drop, was composed of an underlined inscription, which was located slightly diagonally.
The monochrome color palette of the visual identity made the logo look great on all the surfaces, from the company’s branded products to packaging and t-shirts.
After the e-commerce platform changed its name to “Drop”, the logo was changed, but the color palette remained black and white.
The new logotype is composed of a bold solid nameplate with the first letter “D”‘s a lower-left corner cut diagonally. It makes the inscription unique and memorable, showing the individuality of the company and its innovative approach.
The original logotype in the bold script was executed in a typeface, very similar to Santeli font, with its smooth soft lines and a slightly old-style mood. The nameplate was balanced by a thick underline, which added sharpness to the image.
The current Drop wordmark in all capitals is written in an extra-bold sans-serif typeface, which is close to Draft Family fonts, with clean and strong lines and contour. The new nameplate looks professional and strong, perfectly reflecting the company’s essence and character.
The contemporary online retailer sells designer items in style and IT categories, providing young audiences with the latest trends.
The online platform is not a simple store, it is a community of people, sharing the same interests. The service allows them to sort products basing on their interests and organizes the order. Here you can find almost everything — from keyboards and stationery to shoes and bags.
The e-commerce platform is all about exclusive and unique design, and this is what makes it special and loved by almost 10 million customers across the globe.
