Kolab Now is the name of an e-Mail platform, which offers email accounts for secure collaboration, with securely protected data stored in Switzerland. Like any other secure encrypted email service, they will never track your data, sell it to third parties, or show ads.
Kolab Now, formerly MyKolab, is a full-featured secure collaboration and communication service that is easy to use on any device. The service is very popular among legal professionals. Unlike many other services in the secure e-Mail segment, Kolab has a very interesting visual identity, which has no visual correlations to mails, protection, or anything of this kind.
The Kolab Now visual identity, designed in 2013 is composed of two parts: an emblem; which is also an icon and a signifier of the service, and a logotype with one graphical element inscribed in it. The badge is executed in a delightful yellow and white color palette, which is extended to yellow, white, and gray when used in the full version.
The full Kolab Now logo version boasts a lightweight yet enlarged yellow “Kolab” inscription in intense yellow, set above the gray “Now” in smaller capitals of the same sans-serif typeface. The wordmark is set over a plain white background and has the letter “O” in “Kolab” as the only unique element. The letter has its contour slightly open at its bottom part.
The same “open-ring O” is used for the Kolab Now emblem. In this case, the contour of the letter is executed in white and set over a solid yellow background, creating a sleek minimalist image; which evokes a sense of happiness, unity, and progressiveness.
