1985 – 2001

On the Kent State Golden Flashes logo, the eagle had not only the head but the body and wings, too.

2001 – 2017


Their 2001 logo looks almost identical to the one they adopted later in 2017. There’s a big blue ‘K’ with the words ‘Kent State’ beneath it (aligned to the letter’s left border) and an image that resembles both a lightning bolt and a bird behind the lettering. The color scheme here is a bit pale.

2017 – Today

The eagle on the current logo is highly stylized. In fact, it is just the side view of an eagle’s head on a long neck. The neck looks like a flame or a lightning bolt. There is also a large blue “K” on the forefront, whereas the words “Kent State” can be seen below it.
