JW org is the name of the website, belonging to the Jegovah’s Witnesses cult, which was established in the early 1870s. As for the website itself, it was created a century ago, and today is the official portal of Christian primitivisms from all over the globe.
The founder of the Watchtower Society (since 1931, Jehovah’s Witnesses) is Charles Taze Russell. He was born in 1852 in Allegheny (now Pittsburgh), Pennsylvania, USA. His parents were Presbyterians, but Charles apparently could not accept the doctrine of predestination and the existence of eternal torment, and his religious search for the “true” church culminated in a fascination with Adventism. Although Russell was not a member of any Adventist sect, Adventist ideas nevertheless influenced the formation of his religious views.
In 1879, Russell founded his publication, The Herald of the Morning, which later evolved into the modern Watchtower magazine. This magazine is the primary source of doctrine and serves as a training manual for sectarians.
In 1884, Russell incorporated the “Zion Watchtower and Tract Society of Pennsylvania” as a corporation in Pittsburgh. This date is generally accepted as the official birth date of the Society.
Although Russell had no higher education, he published seven volumes of “Studies in the Scriptures” and a large number of tracts. Their circulation during his lifetime reached about 16 million copies in 35 languages. Nearly two thousand newspapers printed his weekly sermons.
Jehovah’s Witnesses – This is a cult with its translation of the Bible, which in many places is horrible and distorts what the Scriptures say.
It is a cult that claims that all people around the world who profess faith in Jesus, who are born again in the Spirit, whose sins are forgiven, and who follow Jesus as Lord, believe in the triune God – all of them, the entire church – are lost and damned.
The doctrine of Jehovah’s Witnesses can be summarized into the following main points:
What is JW org?
JW org is the official website of the religious cult of the Jehovah’s Witnesses, which was founded at the end of the 19th century by an American, Charles Russel. The cult claims itself as one of the branches of Christianity but has a completely different understanding of the Bible.
In terms of visual identity, the JW org portal is very simple and laconic. The logo of the website is based on a traditional and calm color palette, and uses only the clean sans-serif lettering on a solid background, with no designer or graphical elements.
The JW org logo is based on a solid blue square, colored in a smooth and can shade, and a two-leveled lettering, written on it in two lines — the uppercase enlarged “JW” above the smaller “.org”, which is also capitalized. Both levels of the wordmark are set in one modern geometric typeface with medium-weight bars and distinctive contours of the characters, although the upper line has its letters bolder.
The clean and distinctive lettering from the official emblem of the Jegovah’s Witnesses website is set in a modern and elegant sans-serif typeface, which is very close to such fonts as Typograph’s Merlo Bold, or Gelder Sans Medium, with some minor modifications of the contours.
As for the color palette of the JW org visual identity, it is based on a combination of calm and light shades of blue, and white, which evokes a sense of tranquility, peacefulness, and safety.
