IBF Logo PNG

Over the years, the IBF has been associated with some of the most memorable fights and notable champions in boxing history. Champions crowned by the IBF have often been some of the most revered figures in the sport, with titleholders from different weight classes and eras.

Meaning and history

In its early years, the IBF focused on building credibility and recognition. It set itself apart by implementing strict standards for ranking fighters and sanctioning title fights. The organization’s commitment to fairness and integrity quickly secured its place among the authoritative sanctioning bodies, helping to create a more diverse and competitive boxing environment.

The IBF’s impact on international boxing is multifaceted. It was instrumental in promoting boxing around the world, sanctioning fights in various countries, and giving international fighters a platform to showcase their talents. IBF title fights often played a decisive role in determining the undisputed champions in various tournaments.

Important title fights under the IBF banner included fights featuring legends such as Roy Jones Jr, Bernard Hopkins, and Anthony Joshua, among others. These fights not only captured the attention of the world but also played a crucial role in defining the legacy of these fighters.

IBF has only one belt, no other titles, and only one leader in his weight category. The belt weighs 4.1 kg and is made of red-colored leather. In the center is a medal made of pewter and gilded. At the top is the logo of the association. Above the medal is a soaring eagle. In the middle of the medal are two hemispheres and the inscription “World Champion”. Mike Tyson, Lennox Lewis, Larry Holmes, and Wladimir Klitschko had such a belt. The design of the belt itself has not changed since the foundation of the federation.

IBF has one important difference from other organizations: it is necessary to defend the title not once a year, but once in 9 months. In addition to the main belt, there are about a dozen regional titles.

What is IBF?
IBF is an abbreviation standing for the International Boxing Federation, the organization founded in 1983 by the United States Boxing Association. Although things did not go well for the IBF at first, today it is the third most important professional boxing organization. The office is located in New Jersey.

In terms of visual identity, the International Boxing Federation is bright yet very classic. Executed in a powerful red and white color palette, the logo of the organization is not overweighted with heavy shapes and massive elements, and this is what makes it look very proportional and elegant.

???? – Today

The logo of the International Boxing Federation depicts a circular emblem with the maps of the two hemispheres of the earth with the eastern slightly overlapping the western drawn on a solid red background in the center of the roundel. The hemispheres are set in white with the continents and meridians drawn in red. The image is accompanied by two white boxing gloves placed beyond them. The wide white frame of the emblem features a bold blue “IBF” abbreviation arched along its top part and three blue five-pointed stars at the bottom.

The bold uppercase lettering from the primary logo of the International Boxing Federation is set in a modern geometric typeface, which looks pretty close to such fonts as Moister, or Tafel Sans, with the straight wide bars of the characters and distinctive contours and corners.
