The name “Humanitarian Bowl” existed in at least three versions. In 1997, the bowl game was named the Sports Humanitarian Bowl. Then, in 1998, it was played as the Humanitarian Bowl. Eventually, from 1999 to 2003, it was known as the Crucial.com Humanitarian Bowl. The current name of the same game is the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl.

Meaning and history

The original Humanitarian Bowl logo featured the name of the game in green complemented by a football emblem to the left. In the 2001 and 2002 versions, we can see the lettering “Crucial.com” at the top. We should also mention the logos used in 2007-2009 and 2010. They looked completely different and were dominated by shades of blue.
