Garanti Logo PNG

Garanti is the name of the Turkish subsidiary of the Spanish BBVA Bank Group. The company was established in 1946 as Garanti Bank and today is a large player on the market, which provides such services as insurance, finance, consulting investments, and many more.

Meaning and history

The visual identity of Garanti has always been based on one symbol, though after two redesigns the logo of the bank became more modern and progressive, keeping the original concept and showing the value of traditions and fundamental approach of the company. The color palette has also been refined throughout the years, but also in a very traditional and modest way.

What is Garanti?
Garanti is a banking company from Turkey, which is owned by the Spanish reputable bank BBVA. Today the company is the second-largest in its segment in Turkey and is considered to be reliable and respected in the region.

The 1990s – 2001

The Garanti logo, designed at the beginning of the 1990s featured a deep green rectangular banner, which was oriented horizontally. The left part of the logo featured a solid green square with a white shamrock drawing on it. While the right rectangular part had a thin and elegant white uppercase lettering in a fancy serif typeface.

2001 – 2009

The redesign of 2001 introduced a new version of the long-lasting Garanti badge. The color palette was expanded and classic black was added to the iconic combination of green and white. The new concept was still built around the shamrock, but this time the leaf was drawn in gradient green, and placed in ¾, adding volume and dynamics to the logo. The “Garanti Bank” nameplate was written in black custom font with smooth sophisticated lines. Both wordmarks of the wordmark started with the capital letter but were placed with no extra space between each other, which high added a touch of unity and collaboration to the overall mood.

2009 – 2018

The redesign of 2009 has made a few additions to the Garanti badge. First of all, the “NV” letters were added to the mainline, while the black “GarantiBank” inscription got its letters a bit condensed in order to fit two more. Another important change was in the blue tagline — BBVA Group, in order to show the affiliation of the bank to the world’s famous financial institution. It was written in the BBVA corporate style and featured a smaller size of the letter than the top level of the logo.

2019 – Today

After Garanti was acquired by BBVA Group, the logo was redrawn, but the original mood, concept, and color palette remained almost untouched. The green shamrock was slightly enlarged. On its right, the black “Garanti” was written in a title case of the same elegant typeface and followed by a wide blue “BBVA” in the uppercase sans-serif.
