Meaning and Use of the Flower Emoji

🌼The classic Flower emoji is a yellow daisy that may be slightly lighter, depending on the platform. Due to its bright color and perfectly shaped petals, this flower is most often used as a symbol of the beauty and colorfulness of nature. It can be used to express admiration for someone’s beauty, to convey a sense of happiness or contentment, or to represent the beauty of nature. It is also often used as a symbol of spring.

🌸 The Cherry or Sakura Blossom is a tender pink flower with beautiful petals. In Japanese culture this is a very important plant. It symbolizes the five main wishes – good luck, prosperity, longevity, joy and peace. Also, Sakura signifies the transience and fragility of life: one lives one’s life just as a sakura petal falls – beautifully and very quickly. Incidentally, it is interesting that the Japanese Army retains a connection with the sakura to this day: the insignia on the epaulettes are sakura flowers with five petals – as an alternative to the five-pointed star used in Western countries.

🌹 The Rose is probably the most popular flower in the world. This emoji depicts a bright red rosebud with delicate green leaves at the bottom. The ancient Greeks saw this flower as a symbol of infinity, because its bud is round. But in some other cultures, the rose meant just the opposite – the transience of youth and life, because its beauty is fragile and short-lived. Today the red rose is a symbol of passion, desire and true love. In addition, red roses have always been given as a sign of respect and admiration for the object to whom these flowers are intended.

🌷 An elegant tulip in Unicode is executed in gradient shades of pink, the color of tenderness and sympathy. The tulip was found in the Middle East. Its appearance reflected everything that Eastern philosophy combines: simplicity of forms, refinement of lines and variety of colors. Therefore, the tulip became a symbol of ancient philosophy. If we believe in the language of flowers, tulips represent a declaration of love. And pink tulips usually symbolize modesty and shyness.

🌻 The large and bright Sunflower is one of the most popular flower emojis. Sunflowers express joy, hope and friendship. They also represent longevity, adoration and strength. In addition, they are a symbol of peace, summer, brightness and acceptance. The Sunflower emoji will add positive energy to any message. This flower is a symbol of happiness and light. In the language of plants, sunflower means – resilience, vitality, optimism, faith in the future, positive attitude, prosperity, good luck and prosperity.

🌺 An intensely pink flower of Hibiscus is a symbol of humble beauty, resilience, renewal, endless prosperity and abundance. Hibiscus has a certain meaning in the culture of many peoples. The flower energizes positive energy, makes passive people move forward and become successful. Hibiscus activates creative and working initiative, promotes success in career and in favorite hobby. Well and simply, it is an incredibly beautiful flower that can represent sympathy, or femininity.

💐 The Bouquet of flowers is the last flower emoji from the original Unicode set. It depicts four fancy roses in yellow and pink, and can be added to any greeting message. This is, probably, the most universal way to show your sympathy, respect, or to congratulate a person.

🥀 Wilted Rose is perhaps the only flower in this emoji section that carries a more negative emotion. Rose is the most popular, but very complex flower symbol. According to legend, this “queen of flowers” grew in paradise without thorns, but gained them after the fall of man. But a wilted bud is a symbol of parting, separation, loss, or depression.

🪷 The lotus flower is a symbol of goodness, purity, wisdom, prudence, generosity, and the best of the world. The most common lotus is white or pink in color. In Unicode we see a light pink flower that looks incredibly beautiful and delicate. Lotus symbolizes life, happiness, purity and nobility. But if it grows in swamps, it represents the ignorance of an unenlightened person. Daily blossoming of pure bright buds over muddy water, the flower becomes a sign of eternal youth, righteousness, rebirth of the human soul.

🪻 Hyacinth symbolizes the awakening of nature and is most often used in spring arrangements. Bouquets of hyacinths are given to beloved women in spring simply as a sign of love and devotion. Bright and fragrant hyacinth flowers symbolize love, beauty and loyalty, and its shades will help to tell about your feelings. In the language of floristry, a blue or purple hyacinth represents self-confidence.

Conclusion

As you can see, each flower can mean something specific, however, they can all be used as just a decoration. It’s nice for any girl to receive flowers, no matter the occasion, even if it’s in the form of an emoji. So give your loved ones bouquets, sunflowers and sakura blossoms, just like that and every day.
