What is Equinix?

In terms of visual identity, Equinix is stylish, modern, and perfectly balanced. The black and red logo of the company has a great combination of shapes and spaces and represents the brand as a progressive and innovative one.
The original Equinix logo was designed in 1998 and stayed with the company for more than a decade. It was a very elegant composition, based on a black lowercase wordmark in a fancy cursive font, with the elongated and sharpened bar of the “A” making up the central element. The character is accompanied by a green curved stroke, which is merged with the “Q”s tail creating an orbit.
The redesign of the Equinix visual identity has dramatically changed the style of the logo and introduced somewhat completely new and strong. Remember one of the first mobile games, The Snake? The emblem of Equinix reminds us of it. The minimalistic geometric image, drawn in red against a white background, also symbolized connection and endless possibilities. The emblem is accompanied by clean and airy black lettering, with the characters placed at a significant distance from each other.
The medium-weight uppercase lettering from the primary Equinix logo is set in a modern and laconic sans-serif typeface, which looks pretty close to such commercial fonts as Sweet Sanstrade, P22 Undergroundtrade or Engravers Gothic, with some minor modifications of the contours.
As for the color palette of Equinix’s visual identity, it is based on the timeless combination of red, black, and white, which signifies the excellence, confidence, and professionalism of the company and the services provided by it.
