Doogee is a Chinese smartphone brand. Founded in 2013, Doogee is relatively a new player in the market and is the third brand of KVD International Group Limited. The company covers many key international markets, particularly countries with the high demand for budget phones such as Asia, the Middle East, Russia and Africa.
DOOGEE, a young Chinese smartphone and wearable electronics brand, was founded in 2013 and is owned by the Chinese corporation KVD International Group Limited. However, the history of the company began much earlier. The fact is that the parent company KVD started producing OEM products for many well-known phone manufacturers back in the early 2000s.
The name of the company DOOGEE was not chosen by chance. The creators put in it quite a lot of semantic elements. So, the first part “Do” – a kind of call to action; OO – a symbol of infinity; and “Gee” – an exclamation and approval. According to the sung version, there are even more meanings: “D” stands for Dream, “OO” remains a symbol of infinity, “G” for Glory, and “EE” for Enthusiasm and Excellence.
DOOGEE has its own research laboratories and full-cycle factories, producing almost all smartphone components: from electronics and touch panels to batteries and cases. Stylish, functional, and productive DOOGEE smartphones have won the recognition of users and are popular in many countries.
In 2015, the company acquired the sub-brand HOMTOM, under which it began to produce budget smartphones with great autonomy. So today the Chinese manufacturer covers various price and functional segments, which contributes to the growth of its popularity and international expansion.
The Doogee logo is bright and fresh. Using light blue and orange in its color scheme, the brand shows itself as young, energetic and forward-looking.
The wordmark is executed in bold square typeface with an interesting element — two letter “O” are intertwined in the infinity sign, symbolizing never ending progress in technology and research.
The geometry of the logo is supported by orange elements of the letter “D” (a double square coming out of the letter’s corner) and the letter “E” (the orange rectangle forming the upper letter’s bar).
As for the icon, Doogee uses the first letter “D” with a company’s name written as a tagline.
