Chambord Logo PNG

Not only does the design of the bottle that contains the spirit inside it, but also the logo adorning it tell the story of Chambord’s rich history.

The Chambord logo looks like a seal. The central element of it is a crown which represents Chambord’s links with the French royalty. When King Louis XIV was visiting Chateau Chambord, he was presented with a sample of raspberry liqueur. It was in the 17th century, long before the commercial launch of the product in 1981.

Two inscriptions encircle the crown ‒ BLACK RASPBERRY LIQUEUR above and ROYAL DE FRANCE below. The word “Chambord” is below the round emblem.

The colors of the logo are deep, rich purple and gold. Both of them are symbolic of royalty.

It is a luxurious logo, promising an unforgettable experience for all Chambord drinkers.

Meaning and history

The official date of foundation of the Chambord brand is 1982. But for the first time the fragrant berry liqueur was known back in the XVII century. Visiting Château de Chambord, Louis XIV tried the local liqueur made of raspberries and blackberries. The King liked the drink and ordered the recipe for the liqueur to be discovered so that he could enjoy it at court. The wonderful liqueur was named after the castle of Chambord.

About 400 years later, an American, N.G. Sky Cooper, moved to France and settled near the Chambord Castle, where he once tasted the famous liquor, which was still something local. He learned the technology of its preparation, after which he launched a large-scale production. At first the liquor gained great recognition in France, and soon the whole world learned about it.

Originally, the berry liquor was produced in a bottle in the shape of an orb – the symbol of royalty. It was encircled by a golden metal ribbon and crowned by a crown-shaped cork. After redesign in 2010, only the shape of the bottle remained, while the cork and the band got more restrained and modern look.

What is Chambord?
Chambord is the brand of an beverage, which was established in the beginning of the 1980s. Chambord is a sweet French liqueur with 16.5% strength, which is produced in the Loire Valley. Font and Color

The sleek and bold lettering on the official Chambord badge is set in the uppercase of a fancy designer font with lots of rounded details on the heavy solid bars of the characters. The closest typefaces to the one, used in this insignia, are, probably, ITC American Typewriter Std Bold Condensed, or Freibeuter Nr, but with some significant modifications.

As for the color palette of the Chambord visual identity, it is based on a deep shade of purple, which represents the Berry compound of the liquor, and also adds the noble and royal touch to the badge.
