Wiltshire Council unveils new logo

Wiltshire Council has updated its logo for the first time in over than a ten years period, the previous logo was created in 2009. But in the council staff’s opinion the old logo had one serious drawback, its font wasn’t easily readable which could become a problem for people with visual disturbance. To avoid such nuisance with the current project in-house designers, who worked on the new look, were asked to pay enough attention to the aspect.

The refreshed logo look hasn’t much difference with its previous mark, thus, it keeps the main traits of its predecessor’s style along with the colour palette. The darker green, as states the council, will still be used in the new design complimenting the added light green. The main noticeable change is dropping of the tag line — “Where everybody matters,” that will be removed from the new logo design.

The authorities decided to make the roll out of the mark gradually to reduce unnecessary waste for county residents. At first the new symbol will appear on the council’s website and correspondence, preceding its printing across buildings, vehicles and signage of Wiltshire county.
