The PGA European Tour, an organization managing three golf tours in Europe, has changed the logo. Along with the new logotype, “Driving Golf Further”, a new slogan, has been introduced. With the fresh identity, the Tour is going to develop its activity.
According to CEO Keith Pelley, the new symbols look more modern, and are able to improve the commercial image of the organization. The new logo is distinguished by simplicity, featuring the word mark with the “T” like a golf tee. This graphical modesty will surely give the Tour quite recognizable individuality.
The European Tour’s refreshments also includes a new web-site and mobile application launched on October 1st. In addition, the organization’s headquarter in Virginia Water, county Surrey, has got some refurbishment. As the European Tour’s representatives say, all of this will hopefully contribute to promote golf and sports principles on a more technological level. New motto “Driving Golf Further” excellently reflects the Tour’s aspirations to improve the golf culture in terms of tournament administration and information support. With new technologies, golf can be not only an entertainment for the rich, but a sport for everyone.
