At the beginning of the new year, the representative of the German government Steffen Hebestreit has presented a logo under which Germany will be the head of the Group of Seven throughout 2022. Purposely designed in a simple and minimalistic manner, the emblem means that the officials are focusing on the most important things.
Germany has taken the presidency of the G7 on January 1st, 2022. The organization also includes the United States, the UK, Canada, Italy, Japan as well as the European Union which is specially represented at the G7 meetings. The 2022 G7 Summit will take place in the Schloss Elmau in the Bavarian Alps on July 26-28.
As an official press release says, a thoroughly developed emblem is not obligatory in order to illustrate the unity of the G7. And the presented logo centers in the “G” and “7”, without a wide color palette. Being centered, the G7 symbol conveys the deliberate program for Germany’s presidency, while its elements, complementing each other, emphasize trusted cooperation, making a solid symbol for the integrity in the international community of values.
The logo was developed by the framework contract agency “Zum golden Hirschen” under the Cabinet of Germany.
