Hershey Logo history
The first name of the Hershey’s brand was National Chocolate Tablets and only in 1898, it was renamed to Hershey’s. The first five logos of the brand were based on an ornate wordmark, executed in a brown with the gold color palette. By 1910 gold was replaced by silver and the lettering gained a new bold sans-serif typeface.
The logo we know today was designed in 1952 and was composed of all capital lettering in silver, placed on a dark brown background. Today’s version of the Hershey’s logo uses almost the same typeface but is executed in dark brown, placed on white.
The curved tail and the letter “R” and the straight cut of the vertical “S” bar are what make the logo unique and individual. There is a delicate icon placed on the right of the wordmark. Celebrating the brand’s most popular product, the Kisses chocolates. The icon is drawn in brown with silver ribbon detail, waving right.

“The Hershey Company” tagline is written in all capital letters with the use of a simple sans-serif typeface with rounded lines. It is placed under the wordmark and perfectly balanced in terms of letter’s size and space.
